Health-This graph is showing the Infant Mortality Rate compared to Life expectancy during the years of 1961-2009.
Greece has had some great changes in some aspects, but has also had little changes in others. The most interesting and drastic change I have seen is the amount of education aid given from the years 1995-2007. The amount has had major fluctuations for the worst. The aid given started fairly high and then had a decrease from the years 1995-2002. Although the aid given to the education system rose again in 2004 it is still not where it was in 1995. Another aspect that I have explored is the ratio of girls to boys in primary and secondary education. This ratio has not had a major increase over the years of 1971-2009. I was surprised to see that there was a decrease in 1984 and then another in 2001 and has continued to decline until 2009. This may have something to do with the lack of aid given from 1995 on. Finally, I decided to explore infant mortality rate. This was a topic that I was not surprised at when I saw the statistics. As presumed the rate has steadily decreased over the years 1961-2009, as it has for almost every country around the world due to the advancement in healthcare. In 1961 infant mortality rate in Greece was 50 per every 1000 births. By 2009 it is down to 4 per every 1000 births. Not only has infant mortality has a steady decrease but life expectancy has had a steady increase.
