First sign of settlement by the people of Anatolia
Two civilization are formed. The Minoan on Crete and the Mycenaean on the mainland. Rapid population growth on both Islands. Mycenaean's conquered and took over Crete. This ended the Minoan civilization. Peasant rebellion and political welfare distorted the Mycenaean civilization. After the fall of the Mycenaean's there was an economic and cultural decline in Greece. This liberated Greece by abolishing the monarchic pattern. Villages came together to form a City-State. Politics re-emerged and a democracy was established. |
